The Hammer

The launch will take place in Kjarnaskógur on August 23, 2025.

Hamarinn is for the most hardcore hikers looking for a challenging but not too long route. The route runs through a large part of Fnjóskadalur and beyond, where you can experience true spring in Vaglaskógur.

Route details are published subject to change. Gravel and mountain bikes are permitted, no special protective equipment other than a helmet will be required. Electric bikes are not permitted. Competitors must print out their own maps and/or route descriptions or upload the GPS file of the race route to their device before the race.

This will be the primary navigation method.
